It all begins with a passion and a vision.

Katie White, born in the heart of Texas and raised amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Evergreen, Colorado, discovered her true calling for horses at a young age. A family vacation to a dude ranch ignited a spark, and soon after, she immersed herself in the equestrian world at BobCat Ranch. It was there that she honed her skills, working tirelessly and saving every penny to buy her first horse, Zip. In 2008, Katie welcomed Zip, a Paint horse who became her steadfast companion and the "biggest blessing" of her life. Together, they achieved remarkable success, winning Rodeo Princess and countless other awards.
Katie's journey continued as she pursued higher education, earning degrees in Equine Management and Equine Science from Northeastern Junior College, graduating magna cum laude. Her impressive training background and competitive spirit saw her excel at all levels, especially during her time interning at Pinnacle Ranch, a premier professional reining facility in Scottsdale, AZ, and Visser Reining Horses in Whitesboro, Texas.
In 2021, Katie and her husband Cade moved to Culleoka, Tennessee, to bring her vision of White Nickel Ranch to life. What started as a dream has quickly evolved into a bustling hub of activity. They began by building a barn with stalls and an attached covered arena, creating pastures, an outdoor arena, and an extensive trail system. Cows now roam the fields, adding to the authentic ranch experience. Each year brings new additions and improvements, transforming White Nickel Ranch into a small-scale version of the grand western facilities found in Texas.
Katie's commitment to excellence extends beyond infrastructure. She trains a diverse range of horses and students, from young children to adults, sharing her vast knowledge and expertise. Her show teams, participating in the Tennessee Stock Horse Association and the Youth Equestrian Development Association (YEDA), consistently bring home top awards, a testament to her talent and dedication.
The ranch continues to grow, with Katie's parents residing on the property and providing invaluable support, while Cade's parents frequently visit from Texas to lend a hand. As the ranch expands, so does Katie's dream. She is developing new programs and curriculum, ensuring White Nickel Ranch remains at the forefront of the equestrian world.
Katie's passion for horses is matched only by her determination to create a premiere beginner western facility. White Nickel Ranch is more than just a place; it's a community where boarders and lesson participants become family. With Katie at the helm, the ranch is a testament to what can be achieved with unwavering dedication and a clear vision.
Welcome to White Nickel Ranch, where every day is a step closer to realizing a dream.
